What we collect

Your account

You sign in with Google. Google tells us your email address, your name and your profile picture. We store your email address and a user ID. Your name and picture are kept by our sign-in provider and shown to you in the extension’s settings.

Your settings

The teams and competitions you follow, your language and which alerts you have turned on. We keep these on our servers so they follow you between browsers.

Your subscription

If you start a trial or subscribe, our payment provider Paddle tells us your customer and subscription IDs, which plan you are on, its status and when a trial or billing period ends. We never see or store your card details. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and country itself, under its own privacy policy.

Technical logs

Like any web service, our servers keep short-lived logs of requests (such as IP address, time and the page requested) to keep the service secure and to fix problems.

What we do not collect

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, on this site or in the extension. The extension does not read the pages you visit or your browsing history.

What stays on your device

The extension stores a few things in your browser’s own storage:

• your sign-in session, so you stay signed in;
• which alerts have already been shown, so you are not alerted twice;
• small flags such as whether you have dismissed a notice.

It asks for permission to show desktop notifications only when you turn on your first alert, never at install. This website sets one cookie, which remembers the language you chose.

How we use it

• To run the service: signing you in, showing your teams first, sending the alerts you asked for, and knowing whether you have Pro.
• To handle billing: starting trials, subscriptions, cancellations and refunds with Paddle.
• To keep it working: security, preventing abuse and fixing bugs.
• To contact you about your account or a change to these terms. We do not send marketing email.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or use it to train AI models.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performing our contract with you (your account, subscription and settings), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (technical logs), and your consent (desktop notifications, which you can turn off at any time).

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run parts of the service for us:

• Google, when you sign in with your Google account.
• Our sign-in and hosting providers, who run our servers and database and keep you signed in.
• Paddle, who takes payments. Paddle is the merchant of record for every purchase, so it also processes your data as a controller in its own right.

The public feedback board is run by UserJot. It is separate from your Pitchside account: if you post or vote there, you sign in with UserJot and its own privacy policy applies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. These providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and settings until you delete your account. When you do, we delete them within 30 days. Records of payments are kept by Paddle for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and technical logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, send you a copy, or delete it. You can also object to how we use it or withdraw your consent. To do any of this, email hello@pitchside.today from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days.

Deleting your account. Email us and we will delete it. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first in the extension’s settings so you are not charged again.

If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, you can complain to your data protection authority. In India, that is the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Pitchside is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are under 18, please use Pitchside only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters, for example a new kind of data or a new provider, we will also tell you in the extension or by email before it takes effect.
